Fans Show Love for Sugar Bears

Administrators, coaches and fans gathered to show their love for the Sugar Bears basketball team at the Centennial Valley Country Club last night.
That love added up to $16,820 in donations for the program in addition to the other awards and accolades the players received at the Fan Appreciation Supper. The event was organized by Rush Harding and Bruce Newcomber.

UCA President Allen Meadors congratulated the Sugar Bears volleyball team last night for its conference championship and academic achievement.
Meadors made the comments at the Prince Center during a small ceremony to award the members of the volleyball team their Southland Conference Championship rings. The team finished the season undefeated in conference play, 16-0, and 27-3 overall.

The Sugar Bears volleyball team will receive their 2009 Southland Conference Championship rings at a 7 p.m. ceremony today in the Prince Center. The event is free and open to the public.
The Sugar Bears were undefeated in conference play this year with a record of 16-0 and an overall record of 27-3.

The Sugar Bears finished their season yesterday with an 81-77 victory over the McNeese State Cowgirls at the Farris Center.
The win for the Sugar Bears gives them a 21-8 record overall on the season and a 11-5 record in Southland Conference play.

The Sugar Bears tennis team was swept 7-0 by the Lamar Lady Cardinals in Conway yesterday.
The Sugar Bears fell to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in conference play.
The day started off with every UCA doubles pair losing their matches, 8-2.

The Sugar Bears tennis team won 6-1 yesterday, their first win of the season, in a match against the Henderson State Lady Reddies in Conway.
