Free Carnival on Campus Today
April 6, 2010 by: Morgan DeRosaThere’s a carnival on campus today. Really. It’s in the parking lot east of the HPER Center. Just look for the rides spread across the parking lot.
It is open from noon until 7 p.m. today. It includes carnival rides, water games, basketball shooting, rock wall climbing and a Nascar simulator. For the less adventurous, the carnival offers street sign design, caricatures, body art, balloon art and butt sketches. If you are hungry, you can find sno-cones, funnel cakes, cotton candy, sandy candy and candy necklaces.
It’s called Spring Fling and it is brought to us by the Student Activities Board as a reward for almost finishing another school year. They do it every year. Since they use money from the student activity fee we pay each semester, everything is free today.
All students, faculty and staff and their families are invited.
