Police Report: Tuesday, March 16

The following information was taken from incident reports at UCAPD. Incident reports are filed daily by officers to document and describe each call they answer during their shifts. These reports are made available by university police after they are approved by a supervisor. That process takes a day or two, which delays our report a day or two. This is a complete report of the incidents filed for Monday and early Tuesday.

  • Students James Lee, Jeffrey Taylor, Robert Gaiser and Cody Griggs, all 18, were issued Judicial Board citations after university police found them with alcohol about 1 a.m. today. An officer was doing a security check of State Hall when he heard the clanking of bottles along with loud talking on the second floor. He went to the room where he had heard the noises and knocked on the door. Lee answered but shut the door when he saw the officer. The officer continued to knock on the door and, after several tries, Lee answered again. The officer asked Lee if he had any alcohol. Lee said he did and let the officer in the room. The officer noticed the other men sitting on a bed with empty liquor bottles in the trashcan. He also found 32 Bud Light bottles in the room’s mini-fridge. All the alcohol was poured out and the men were issued citations.
  • Student Elizabeth Dourlania, 21, struck another student’s parked vehicle Monday while backing up in the parking lot north of the baseball field. Damage was done to Dourlania’s passenger-side mirror and to the driver's side rear panel of the other vehicle.
