Police Report: April 9

The following information was taken from incident reports at UCAPD. Incident reports are filed daily by officers to document and describe each call they answer during their shifts. These reports are made available by university police after they are approved by a supervisor. That process takes a day or two, which delays our report a day or two. This is a report of incidents filed for April 9.

  • Nonstudent Brandon Robinson was arrested at about 6:45 p.m. after police were informed of a possible criminal trespass on Hubbard Road. No further details were given.
  • Student Matthew Henry, 19, was arrested at about 4 p.m. after police were notified by the university Parking and Traffic Services staff that Henry had given them a counterfeit $20 bill. No further details were available.
  • Students Lauren Reams, 21, and Logan Ariola, 19, were involved in an accident at about 1:30 p.m. when Ariola backed out of his parking spot at the Farris Center and into the passenger side of Reams' red Toyota Corolla. Ariola was driving a green Chevy Silverado. The Toyota received several scratches and dents along the passenger side doors and front fender. Damage was estimated at $500.
  • Student Kathryn McManis, 19, reported she was hit by a car while trying to cross Bruce Street. The tan Nissan, which had been stopped at a red light, took off from the light and hit McManis on her right side. She rolled over the hood and then hit the ground. The driver of the Nissan got out and asked if she was OK. When McManis told her she was, the driver left. McManis was unable to supply a name or license plate number of the Nissan and complained of her ribs hurting. She was transported to Conway Regional Medical Center.
