Police Report: April 20

The following information was taken from incident reports at UCAPD. Incident reports are filed daily by officers to document and describe each call they answer during their shifts. These reports are made available by university police after they are approved by a supervisor. That process takes a day or two, which delays our report a day or two. This is a report of incidents filed for April 20.

  • University police were called at 11:55 p.m. about a fight at Carmichael Hall. The report omitted details.
  • Student Zhanat Dyussengaliyeva, 19, reported at 4:30 p.m. that her roommate, Ziyao Fang, 19, threw her clear glass antique tea kettle against the wall and broke it. The tea kettle was valued at $60.
  • Student Leslie Chastain, 26, hit a car owned by student Tristy Sigears, 20, while parking her black 1997 Mercedes 230 about 2:30 p.m. in the north overflow parking lot. Chastain put several scratches along the rear driver's side bumper of Sigears' Toyota Camry. Police estimated the damage to Sigears' car at $200 and Chastain’s car at $100.
  • Several items were stolen from a parked car on campus. The theft was reported at 7:40 a.m. and included an iPod, a GPS device, a wallet and $75 in cash. The total value of the items was about $635.
