Police Report: April 13
The following information was taken from incident reports at UCAPD. Incident reports are filed daily by officers to document and describe each call they answer during their shifts. These reports are made available by university police after they are approved by a supervisor. That process takes a day or two, which delays our report a day or two. This is a report of incidents filed for April 13.
- Hendrix College student Asa Martin, 20, and UCA student Brian Elizondo, 24, were involved in an traffic accident about 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of Marion Ross Avenue and Emma Rasor Drive. Martin turned left onto Emma Rasor on a scooter and hit the side of Elizondo's vehicle, which was parked in a fire lane. Martin injured his hand in the accident. Elizondo was not injured. Police estimated the damage to Elizondo's car at $800. The scooter wasn't damaged. Martin was issued a citation for careless driving.
- Student Barry Bartoszek, 20, of Flippin, reported that his 2003 Chevrolet Trail Blazer was hit by another car while parked at Bear Village apartments between 10 p.m. and 8:53 a.m. The rear light on the driver's side of the car was broken and the rear bumper was scratched. Police estimated the damage at $700.
- Terry Williams, UCA employee, reported at 8:10 a.m. that a window had been broken in a house at 195 South Boulevard. Police estimated damage at $100.
