Police Report: April 12
The following information was taken from incident reports at UCAPD. Incident reports are filed daily by officers to document and describe each call they answer during their shifts. These reports are made available by university police after they are approved by a supervisor. That process takes a day or two, which delays our report a day or two. This is a report of incidents filed for April 12.
- Student Kelsey Rae Seiter, 21, was cited for DWI and careless driving about midnight. A university police officer saw a 2009 silver Lexus run a stop sign near the HPER Center, then almost hit a curb. The officer stopped the car beside the Physical Plant. Seiter's eyes were red and the officer smelled alcohol. Seiter admitted to having two mixed drinks at Bears Den Pizza. She registered a blood alcohol level of 0.16 at the police department.
- Christian Cafeteria was damaged by fire about 3 a.m. Police said they saw smoke emitting from the roof and heard the fire alarm. When they arrived, they could hear the sprinkler system spraying water in the kitchen area. The fire was contained to the kitchen but it and the dining area were damaged by water from the sprinklers. Officials determined that the fire started in the kitchen from a cooker containing grease that was left on. The cooker and the metal vent hood above it were damaged by the flames.
- Student Glen Thomas Austin, 21, reported at 4:13 p.m. that his 2001 black GMC Sierra pickup had been egged and peanut butter had been smeared on his back window. The egg caused slight paint discoloration on the car door.

- Students Amanda J. Dockins, 21, and Kandie Dianne Warner, 27, were in an automobile accident in the north overflow parking lot at 9:49 a.m. Warner backed out of her parking spot and pulled into the path of Dockins. Police estimated damage to Dockins car at $500.
