Annual Majors Fair Today
If you're still not sure what degree you want, there's a chance this afternoon to learn more about your options here.
The university's annual Majors Fair is being held from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. today in the Student Center Ballroom. All the academic departments will have representatives there to provide information about their programs.
The event is free and casual attire is acceptable. Refreshments will be served. Some professors are offering extra credit to students who attend.
Berdie Eubank, director of the Academic Advising Center, said the university sponsors the event each year so students can better understand the degrees available to them.
Michelle Reinold, an administrative specialist, said the fair is for all students, not just freshmen and sophomores.
"There's something for everyone," Reinold said. "There will be graduate programs there and career services to aid students in finding employment after graduation."
Last year, approximately 950 students attended the event.
