Freshmen + Chicken = Donations
The i.d.e.a.l. Freshman Leadership Team will host a fund-raiser today to raise money to support their program, “I Just Want to be Successful.”
The fund-raiser will take place between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Zaxby's restaurant at 3800 Dave Ward Dr. Ten percent of the restaurant's total receipts will be used to help fund the program. You might see some of the members there.
The i.d.e.a.l. Freshman Leadership Team is a mentoring program designed to mold promising freshmen into the future campus leaders. Freshmen are chosen based on the principle of diversity in race, gender and background. They are taught advanced leadership skills, including ethics, communication, conflict resolution and networking.
The program was founded here about 10 years ago and is partially funded by the Student Government Association (SGA).
The "I Just Want to be Successful" program is scheduled for April 1 on campus. There will be guest speakers and donations are always welcome. Everyone on campus is invited.
