Fundraiser Honors Olive Hilliard

The family and colleagues of Olive Hilliard, the faculty member who died in February, have organized a fundraiser to endow a scholarship in her name.

Through 9 p.m. today, Stromboli's will donate $2 to the fund for every order of Garlic Knots that people buy. There also will be a donation box. People who donate can sign a guest book that will presented to her family. Stomboli's is a family-owned Italian restaurant at 2662 Donaghey Ave.

Olive Hilliard

Hilliard, 52, died suddenly Feb. 24. She had been a faculty member at UCA since 2003 teaching oral communications in the Department of Speech of Public Relations. She was buried March 2 in her hometown of Texarkana.
