Novelist Reads, Signs Work Tonight
March 9, 2010 by: Alan SandersNovelist Elise Blackwell will read from her work and sign copies of her books at 7:30 p.m. today in the Lewis Science Center, Room 102.
Blackwell also will discuss writing and answer questions from students at noon tomorrow in Thompson Hall, Room 331.
Both events are free and open to the public.
Blackwell is a creative writing professor at the University of South Carolina. She is on campus as part of the Artist-in-Residence program, which is administered by the College of Fine Arts and Communication.
Blackwell, who was born in Austin, Texas, and raised in south Louisiana, has written three novels: Hunger, Grub, and The Unnatural History of Cypress Parish. Her fourth novel, An Unfinished Score, will be released April 6th.
