Got Sag? Researchers Want You

If you are one of those guys who walks around campus in saggy pants, there are people in the Department of Physical Therapy looking for you.

Does sagginess affect posture?

PT students are doing a research project on the effects of sagging pants on a man's walking posture. You know the pants we are talking about here. They are the ones that hang lower than the waistband of the underwear and the guys usually hold them up while they walk.

The researchers also are looking for guys who wear their pants in the traditional fashion, pulled up to their waist and maybe secured with a belt. These guys will be used as the control group to determine how lowering pants changes the walking posture.

If you want to participate in this research project, show up at the Department of Physical Therapy building on Bruce Street, between the Prince Center and Estes Stadium, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday. Or, you can register for a specific time during that period here

Researchers are offering free food to encourage participation.
