Catholic Campus Ministry invites all UCA students, faculty and staff to the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church parish tomorrow to commemorate Ash Wednesday

You can join the 8:15 a.m. or the 6 p.m. services. The church is located at 1115 College Ave. in Conway. The campus ministry will hold Mass at each service before marking the foreheads of the faithful with blessed ashes.

The mark of Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent season, a 40-day period of increased prayer, fasting, and giving of alms in preparation for Easter, which is April 4 this year. Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus and is the holiest day in the Christian tradition. His crucifixion is commemorated on the Friday before Easter, also known as Good Friday.
