And the King of Hearts is …

Joseph Ganann was crowned King of Hearts last night at the annual Pledge King pageant.

Ganann is a pledge of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and was sponsored in the pageant by the Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority.

Pledge King is sponsored every spring semester by the Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority. It is a pageant for fraternity guys going through the pledging processes. The competition includes modeling a swimsuit, modeling formal wear, modeling clothing bearing the letters of the Greek organization that sponsored them and demonstrating their personalities.

Ganann made the crowd laugh with his personality round when he and three of his friends dressed as the crew of the movie Anchorman and sang the song, "Afternoon Delight."

The pageant included a dance competition among the sororities. Sigma Sigma Sigma won.
